I am the operator of an online marketplace
As of 29 March 2025, new legal obligations apply to all operators of online marketplaces.
- As the operator of an online marketplace, you are required to inform in writing all producers selling mattresses online - whether to private households or other end users - about their obligations under the take-back scheme.
- You are also required to verify whether these producers are registered with Valumat (see member list). If not, you have two options:
- Include their mattress sales in your own Valumat declaration, or
- Prevent them from selling mattresses on your platform until they register.
